Artist's Description
I am not a morning person, but I really wanted to catch a good sunrise. My friend met me at the Mt. Cutler trailhead and we headed on up. It was cloudy at first, so I thought I'd miss it, but right as we reached the summit, the clouds started to clear from the horizon, and I caught this piece of dripping sunshine.
About Sunniye Buesing
I first fell in love with photography when I began hiking about 8 years ago. At first, I took pictures because I was so slow and out of shape that I used it as an excuse to stop and catch my breath. Even when I got to the point where I could hike faster, I still found myself stopping to take pictures. For me, taking pictures trains my eye to look for beauty. These pictures are a love letter to the mountains of Colorado, where I learned to love life. These pictures are also a love letter to all of my hiking partners, who put up with my constantly stopping to get a good shot! I currently shoot using a Sony A7R4. I still consider myself a beginner, and I learn more every day.
